Pretty much anything goes for decorations and gifts. We have had colorful scarves on a NECCA tree, fabric snowballs and snowflakes on a Brattleboro Ski Hill tree, chicken products on a Retirement Roost Rescue Tree, and many more creative fun trees. Gifts have included gift cards, classes, and items (themed and not themed). The possibilities are endless. These trees are more than fun, they capture the attention of the public who see your name and notice your commitment to the community.
The deadline for registration is November 4th. Our online raffle begins November 10th. Register using our online form. Tree decorating for sponsors will be held December 4, 11 AM-1 PM & 4PM-7PM. Please let us know what questions you may have, govhuntcc@gmail.com.
Nonprofit Sponsors
We are putting a community spin on a Festival of Trees tradition. The Governor Hunt House Community Center is offering to purchase a 6.5’ tree to represent your organization at our annual Festival of Trees Fundraiser.
Each year on the first weekend of December the public comes to see the historic house and Community Center full of beautifully decorated trees and enter a raffle to win decorations and gifts offered on the trees. The proceeds from this raffle go to support the Community Center. Last year we had a small trial run of this free tree opportunity for community organizations. We wanted to see if we could use this fundraiser to also support the nonprofit and community organizations in our area by offering them a chance to share their mission with those attending. It was a hit!
Because of the investment the Community Center is making in purchasing trees for organizations there are a limited number of spots available for this opportunity. Here are all the details. The community center will purchase a 6.5’ prelit tree for you. Our volunteers will set it up so that it is ready to decorate. Your organization would be responsible for decorating the tree and providing gifts under the tree. Please feel free to place information about your organization under the tree for the public. The gifts and decorations will be raffled to benefit the Community Center.

Gifts have included gift cards or free tickets for events, classes, t-shirts, stickers, and other swag from the nonprofit, among others. The possibilities are endless. These trees are more than fun, they capture the attention of the public who are likely to grab the info available under the tree and learn more about your work.
